Kura Revolving Sushi Bar
About This Spot
Stepping into Kura Revolving Sushi Bar in the heart of Little Tokyo is like slipping into a lively, modern twist on a classic Japanese tradition. The ambient hum of conversation mingles with the rhythmic clink of dishes circulating on the conveyor belt, inviting guests into a relaxed yet dynamic setting where pace and playfulness coexist.
The experience here is centered around discovery — from the delight of spotting a favorite sushi piece gliding by, to the gentle surprise when a robot whirs up with a freshly ordered drink. Each seat is an intimate front-row ticket to this revolving parade, where freshness and detail shine through even the smallest bites. The atmosphere encourages both solo diners and groups to lean into the moment, savoring the flow of flavors and human connections alike.
While the sushi itself invites you to sample everything from classic hand rolls to creative specials adorned with velvety Japanese mayo or spicy jalapeño toppings, there’s a comfort found in the subtle warmth of a bowl of Tonkotsu ramen or the satisfying crunch of tempura sides. Plates arrive in small, thoughtful portions, encouraging a leisurely, almost meditative tasting journey where you can pace yourself and savor each bite without rush.
What truly sets Kura apart is its blend of technology and human touch — from the intuitive ordering tablets to the helpful, attentive service that quietly enhances the rhythm of the meal. This balance keeps the vibe casual but polished, a place where the neighborhood buzz meets a softly futuristic flair.
For those drawn to moments of quiet joy and simple culinary pleasure, Kura Revolving Sushi Bar offers a chance to pause, engage, and find satisfaction in a flowing parade of tastes and textures that feel both familiar and a little unexpected.

atmosphere. The experience overall was really enjoyable ,everything was fresh, tasty, and nicely presented. Just be aware: the portions are small, so you might not feel how much you’ve eaten until the plates pile up I ended up with 17 plates and a total bill of $74.44 ,, but honestly, I had a great time and left happy. Definitely worth trying if you're in the mood for sushi and a nice vibe!

The service was wonderful, everyone very kind. All the meals were amazing except for the sushi. It was an off night, came out dry and falling apart. I can't imaging this is typical, but keep an eye out. We'd try it again.

Kura Little Tokyo is great for the experience. The conveyor belt, ordering system, and overall vibe make it fun, especially if you’re going solo or with friends. The sushi is decent but not mind-blowing. It’s good, just not top-tier quality if you’re really picky about fish. That said, the udon is super delicious and honestly surprised me in a good way. On top of that, the customer service was excellent and everything felt smooth and efficient. Solid spot for a fun, casual sushi run, just know you’re paying for the experience as much as the food.

A unique experience in Little Tokyo. Conveyor belt sushi with secondary belts that can deliver things directly to your swat, as well as a robot that brings drinks to you. There's an ordering station at every seat, and a receptacle for plates you've finished. I was very happy with my experience here and will be back

I needed a quick bite and a sushi train seemed like a good option. Luckily there was a seat available at the counter and I was soon coercing out the options flowing by. There was a good range of the standard and creative sushi, sides, alternatives and sweets. The sushi were fresh with the high turnover of a full restaurant. Each seat or table gets its own tablet for ordering and plate counter/disposal. When a dish is ordered, it's either delivered via the serving belt above or the robot, so staff are only there to handle what isn't automated. I couldn't or didn't see what each plate costs...? Conclusion: an efficient service model that reduces manual handling, good range of options.

Loved this place. Classic revolving sushi bar that makes it easy to try all kinds of sushi and sides. Seating was simple, instructions were clear (great for first-timers), and pricing was transparent. The food was solid (not mind-blowing) but it hits the spot. The atmosphere is what really shines; it honestly feels like a quick trip to Japan. Can’t wait to come back for a late-night munch and let my hunger do the ordering

I used to LOVE Kura. I mean, I still enjoy coming to sushi here but with each small plate of sushi (2 piece nigiri or 3 piece roll) being over $4, and the quality being mid it is hard to give more than 4 stars. .. it's hard to get a drink of hot tea or soda refilled and although I will still come if the line isn't crazy and getting conveyer belt sushi is always fun with the kiddo but it adds up quick and you could probably get better quality at a different place. Hate to say it because I loved Kura once.

I’ll admit it, Kura Sushi isn’t the best sushi out there, but I still love coming here. Conveyor belt sushi just hits home for me. The setup is fun, especially being able to grab plates as they pass by or order from the touchscreen and have it delivered straight to your seat. All the plates are the same price, which makes it easy for first-timers. I usually smash around 10 to 15 plates when I visit. If you hit 15, you get a little prize nothing major, maybe a keychain or a sticker, but it’s a fun bonus. Some of my go-to items are the Hokkaido scallop, American wagyu (gunkan style), seared scallop with Japanese mayo, sea bream with yuzu pepper, and the yuzu jalapeño sweet shrimp. Also, the wasabi mix here is fire — super potent and actually has a kick. Kura’s definitely one of those spots I enjoy from time to time when I want a quick no frills , casual sushi fix.
